LOCATION
Silver City Golf Course directions:
From Silver City, N.M.: Take 90 South, turn LEFT on Ridge Road, turn LEFT on Fairway Drive, turn RIGHT on Golf Course Drive.
From Lordsburg (50 minutes): Take US 70/NM 90, turn RIGHT onto NM 90 North, turn RIGHT on Ridge Road, turn LEFT on Fairway Drive, turn RIGHT on Golf Course Drive.
From Deming (1 hour): Follow NM 26 North, stay STRAIGHT onto US 180 West, turn LEFT on NM 90 South, turn LEFT on Ridge Road, turn LEFT on Fairway Drive, turn RIGHT on Golf Course Drive.
Course layout
The course is a 2,000 meter loop. Surface is mostly grass. Runners will be running through the roughs and fairways of a golf course that is cut to normal heights. Women’s course will consist of three (3) 2,000 meter loops. Men’s course will consist of four (4) 2,000 meter loops.
Parking
All team buses and team vans will receive a parking pass to be used for reserved parking. Spectator parking will be located at the Scott Park Complex across from golf course.

Entry fee
The entry fee for the 2013 RMAC X-Country Championships is $100/team, per school. If a school has both a men’s and women’s team the fee is $200 total. Checks can be made payable to WNMU Athletics, per RMAC code a $100 fee will be charged to schools that miss the entry deadline.

All-RMAC Awards
The top seven finishers in the conference championship will be all-conference, regardless if they are scorers for their teams. The top finisher will be named “RMAC Runner of the Year.” The top freshman finisher shall be named “RMAC Freshman of the Year.” The next seven finishers (8-14) will be Second-Team All-Conference. Finishers 15-21 will be 3rd team all-conference. At the completion of the meet, the participating coaches will vote for Coach of the Year. Ballots to be turned into RMAC representative.
Host institution to provide printer so that Runners of the Year, Coaches of the Year and Freshman of the Year can receive framed awards at awards ceremony. RMAC will provide frames.
Championship trophies
The team championship trophies shall be presented by an RMAC representative. The RMAC will purchase and provide championship trophies.
Crowd control
All aspects of intercollegiate athletic contests shall be conducted in a sportsmanlike manner. Each member institution shall endeavor to instill and maintain principles of good sportsmanship for the guidance of all persons participating in or witnessing contests. Conduct by student-athletes, coaches or other institutional athletics personnel that are unsportsmanlike in nature are subject to sanctions. All spectators accept all liability for any injuries that may happen on the course, to include being hit by a golf ball. All spectators, including student-athletes and coaches are to stay off all greens and tee boxes.
RMAC Sportsmanship Code
The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference is committed to sportsmanship. We take pride in the conduct of our student-athletes and coaches, and ask that everyone - coaches, athletes and spectators treat opponents and officials with respect. We encourage you to cheer for your favorite team during today's competition. At the same time, please demonstrate the respect you would like to be shown as visitors on their campus. Unruly, threatening or obscene behavior will not be condoned at today's game. Thank you for your cooperation and support.
Sports Medicine
A certified Athletic Trainer will be available in the WNMU Training Room which is located in the Brancheau PE Complex back near Drag’s Court. If you will not be traveling with a Certified Athletic Trainer or a student athletic trainer, written protocols must be provided. We will also be willing to help with tape jobs as long as your team brings along a stocked medical kit. A Certified Trainer will also be available at the race site on Saturday, October 26, 2013. MEDIA
Credentials
Working media shall be issued credentials through the host Sports Information Director.
Video
The RMAC will shoot video of the championships for use on the “RMAC Showcase” television show. Edited video highlights of the championship will be available the week following the event on the
RMAC YouTube Channel.
Post-race interviews
Athletes and coaches shall be available for interviews to accredited members of the media after the awards presentation.
