Metro State to Host 2009 RMAC Women's Soccer Championships

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Metropolitan State College of Denver will host the 2009 RMAC Women's Soccer Championships November 6-8. The Roadrunners lead the RMAC with a 13-0-0 record.

In previous seasons, the tournament host was not announced until after the regular season was concluded. But this year, in an effort to save membership expenses and maintain "student-athlete life in the balance" the RMAC has instituted a pilot program to determine the hosts of RMAC tournaments.

In women's soccer, the highest seeded team with two weeks remaining in the regular season with a bid approved by the RMAC Championships Committee was named tournament host.
