Nebraska-Kearney Edges Metro State in Semifinal, 59-58

Pueblo, Colo. -- March 7 -- Second seed Nebraska-Kearney edged past No. 3 seed Metro State, 59-58, in the women's Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference semifinal game Friday night at the Colorado State Fair Events Center.

The Lopers were led by a balanced scoring attack by Melissa Hinkley (13 points) and Jade Meads (12 points).  As a team, Nebraska-Kearney netted a solid 43.6 percent of their field goals (24 of 55).

Leading the Roadrunners was Cassandra Bratton with 14 points and 17 caroms.  Ashley Mickens added 13 points, five assists and four blocks in the one point loss.  Metro State made 24 of 61 field goals for 39.3 percent.

Nebraska-Kearney will five #5 seed CSU-Pueblo Saturday night at 8 p.m.
