PUEBLO, Colo. – March 4, 2007 – The Regis University women’s basketball team clinched a spot in the NCAA post-season tournament Sunday afternoon after defeating Metro State College, 76-62, in the RMAC SHOOTOUT championship game at the Colorado State Fair Events Center.

PUEBLO, Colo. – Denise Lopez of Regis University scored a game high 23 points and grabbed a game high 13 rebounds as the Rangers won the first women’ semifinal game of the 2007 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference SHOOTOUT. The Rangers, who entered the RMAC SHOOTOUT as the top seed, improve to 24-5 overall while fourth-seed Nebraska-Kearney is 20-9.
