PUEBLO, Colo. - New Mexico Highlands, boasting one of the higher-octane offensive attacks in the RMAC, lived up to the billing, playing itself into its first ever RMAC Shootout championship game Friday by beating Colorado Christian by 32 points, 96-64, in an RMAC Shootout semifinal matchup.

The Cowboys were led by Chop Tang, who brought his A-game at the right time for New Mexico Highlands, going 8-for-11 in the first half, sinking a pair of treys and scoring 18 points, part of his 23 on the game.

Tang was the flashpoint of a highly disciplined New Mexico Highlands attack which played nearly perfect basketball, only committing one turnover in the first half and nine overall.

Colorado Christian was led by newly-crowned RMAC Defensive Player of the year, Justin Neuhaus, who netted a game-high points in a losing effort.

The Cowboys will take on defending RMAC Shootout champion, Metro State, in the RMAC Shootout Championship Saturday night at 5 p.m. at the Colorado State Fair Events Center in Pueblo.
