STARKVILLE, Miss. – For the sixth consecutive week, Alabama-Huntsville is the No. 1 softball team in the nation, according to the latest edition of the NFCA Division II Top 25 poll released by the Association on Wednesday.

The Chargers (38-2-1) tallied all 16 first-place votes in the latest edition of the rankings for the second week in a row and for the third time this season. Following UAH this week was North Georgia (47-9) and Midwestern St. (44-8), who came in at second and third, respectively, for the third consecutive week.

The only change in the newest top five was at final two positions where Rollins (45-2) dropped one spot to fifth, allowing Valdosta State (35-8) to move up to fourth.

Western Washington (34-12) was the only team to drop out of the poll this week, leaving the rankings for the first time since entering the fray during the first regular-season poll.  Re-entering to the poll this week was Tiffin, who returned to the rankings after sitting out last week’s edition.
