2010 Daktronics, Inc. All-Central Region Softball Teams
Minnesota State University, Mankato’s senior catcher Kelsey Thompson was named the 2010 Daktronics, Inc. Softball Central Region Player of the Year, while Metropolitan State’s (Denver) senior pitcher Christie Robinson tabbed the 2010 Daktronics, Inc. Softball Central Region Pitcher of the Year honors.
Below is the list of the 2010 Daktronics, Inc. All-Central Region First Team and Second Team. Of note, all players that land on the First Team will automatically advance to the All-America ballot.
The composition of the All-Region squads were two teams (1st and 2nd) comprised of 13 persons based on position breakdown (1 C, 1 1B, 1 2B, 1 3B, 1 SS, 3 OF, 1 DP, 1 UT, 3 P). The regional Player and Pitcher of the Year (separate ballots) were also selected by the sports information directors of each school in the region.
