After a summer-long search for the right candidate to replace former CCU Tennis Coach Jameson Dillon, Athletic Director Darren Richie announced Wednesday that John Goodrich will be the next Head Coach for the Men’s and Women’s Cougar teams.
A graduate of Azusa Pacific University, Goodrich competed for three years at APU and was part of the 2005 NAIA National Championship and 2006-2007 NAIA National Runner-Up teams. A USPTA Certified Teaching Professional, he has served as the Assistant Head Tennis Professional at Meadow Creek Tennis and Fitness since 2007. Coach Goodrich also boasts teaching experience at Foxridge Swim and Racquet Club and at a San Jose, CA area high school.
We are extremely excited about the addition of Coach Goodrich,” remarked Athletic Director Darren Richie, “and are confident his elite playing experience in addition to his time as a tennis professional will help us advance our program to the next level.”
Goodrich and his wife Leah reside in Lakewood.
