Metro State, Fort Lewis and Adams State Headed to NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament
Indianapolis – The NCAA announced the 64 team, eight region tournament tonight from their headquarters in Indianapolis, Ind. Three Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference teams were selected to the 2013 NCAA Division II Men's Basketball South Central Regional Tournament.
The 2013 RMAC regular season and tournament champion Metropolitan State University of Denver will host the tournament in Denver, Colo., March 16, 17 and 19.
Top seed Metro State (27-2) will play host to eighth seed Tarleton State (20-9) on Saturday, March 16. Fort Lewis (19-9) received the No. 3 seed and will play sixth seed Adams State (20-8) for the fourth time this season. ASU holds a 2-1 lead over the Skyhawks this season.
St. Mary's (21-7) of Texas is the No. 2 seed and will play seventh seed Cameron (15-8), while fourth seed Midwestern State (21-8) will face up against fifth seed Newman (20-7).
