NABC/Division II Men's Basketball Poll - Jan. 26, 2010

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Arkansas Tech and Southern Indiana, the two remaining undefeated teams at the NCAA Division II level, are also the top two teams in the new NABC/Division II coaches poll.

Arkansas Tech retains the top spot after posting wins over Ouachita Baptist and Delta State last week, while Southern Indiana is at its highest point in the rankings at No. 2 since being ranked second early in the 2006-07 season.  Fort Hays State, who has yet to lose to a Division II team year (its only loss came at Kansas State), is ranked third and got one first place vote this week, while MIAA rival Central Missouri is fourth and Minnesota State dropped to No. 5 after a loss at then-No. 23 Augustana Saturday.

Valdosta State moved up two spots to No. 6 while Kutztown fell from second to seventh after losing its undefeated mark in a loss last week at Mansfield.  Augusta State comes in at No. 8, while Indiana (Pa.) stays in the ninth spot and Midwestern State rejoins the top 10 after a pair of wins last week.

Seattle Pacific also moved up one spot in the poll to No. 11, while the next four teams also made jumps of at least two positions.  Bentley checks in at No. 12, followed by Florida Southern, Mesa State and Drury.  Kentucky Wesleyan dropped three spots to 16th this week, while Augustana vaulted to 17th after the win over Minnesota State.  Rollins, Quincy and Metropolitan State round out the first 20 teams in the poll.

The final five teams in this week's rankings are Western Washington, East Stroudsburg, Findlay, Montevallo and a tie in the 25th spot with two newcomers to the poll from the state of Georgia - Clark Atlanta and Georgia College and State.

The NCAA will begin releasing its weekly regional rankings on Wednesday, Jan. 27.
