KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Losses by the top two teams in last week's rankings have brought Augusta State to the top of the new NABC/Division II coaches poll, marking the first time the Jaguars are the top-ranked team in the NCAA Division II ranks.

Augusta State moved to the top spot after last week's No. 1 team, Central Missouri, lost to Fort Hays State and No. 2 Florida Southern lost on a last-second shot Saturday at Rollins.  The Jaguars, along with new No. 2 Arkansas Tech and No. 3 Kutztown, are at their highest point in the polls in the history of their respective programs.

Minnesota State checks in at No. 4 this week and Southern Indiana moved up to fifth heading into a week in which it will face three ranked teams in a span of five days.  The Screaming Eagles, who lead the nation in scoring margin at plus 32.9, will play at No. 10 Kentucky Wesleyan - who has the nation's longest winning streak at 16 games - Thursday, host No. 14 Quincy on Saturday and close the stretch Monday at No. 22 Drury.

Fort Hays State, who handed Central Missouri the loss last week, vaulted to sixth in this week's poll and is followed by Midwestern State, Central Missouri, Florida Southern and Kentucky Wesleyan.  Valdosta State checks in at No. 11, with Indiana (Pa.), Montevallo, Quincy and Seattle Pacific occupying the next five spots.

Southwest Baptist fell five spots to 16th after its loss to Fort Hays State Saturday, with Bentley and Augustana moving up to 17th and 18th, respectively.  Western Washington's triple overtime loss to Saint Martin's sent the Vikings down five spots to No. 19 and Cal Poly Pomona rounds out the Top 20.

The final five teams in this week's rankings are Mesa State, Drury, Rollins, East Stroudsburg - the last of the nine undefeated teams in the poll - and West Virginia State.
