FIVE NEW TEAMS ENTER AFCA DIVISION II COACHES' POLL

WACO, TEX.- Nine Top 25 teams lost in the second week of action, making for a big shakeup in the AFCA Division II Coaches' Top 25 Poll. Grand Valley State (Mich.) still holds down the top spot as the Lakers received all 25 first place votes after its 26-10 win over Indianapolis (Ind.). Abilene Christian (Texas), North Alabama, Pittsburg State (Kan.) and Bloomsburg (Pa.) all move up one spot each and round out the Top 5. Winona State (Minn.), Tarleton State (Texas), Wayne State (Neb.), Central Oklahoma and Indiana (Pa.) all enter the poll this week thanks to a number of losses to teams such as West Texas A&M, Edinboro (Pa.), California (Pa.) and Carson-Newman (Tenn.). Saginaw Valley State (Mich.) and Catawba (N.C.) made the biggest moves this week, with both teams jumping eight spots to No. 16 and No. 17 respectively.
