RMAC Football on National TV

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - (Updated Oct. 15, 2007) - The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) is pairing with College Sports Television (CSTV) to air Chadron State College at Nebraska-Kearney on Thursday, Oct. 18.  The game, which will be produced and aired live on CSTV, will also be available live on Altitude Sports and Entertainment Network and Nebraska Educational Television-2 (NET-2).  Fans can also view the game on-line at http://www.cstv.com/ncaa/divii/.  Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m. (CST).

Last year's Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) champion, Chadron State remains undefeated at 7-0 overall and 4-0 in league games.  They started the season with two critical non-conference wins, defeating then-ranked #25 Washburn (34-24) and DI-AA Northern Colorado (31-0).  They are currently ranked fourth in the nation in the latest American Football Coaches Association poll (Oct. 9).  The Eagles have outscored their opponents 256-54, including three shutouts.  In their last five games, the Eagles have held their opponents to a combined 16 points.  They lead the league in scoring defense (7.7 points per game) and rushing offense (239.9 yards per game).  Their season ended last year in the NCAA semifinals against Northwest Missouri State, 28-21.  CSC was 12-1 last year (8-0 RMAC).

The University of Nebraska at Kearney Lopers are currently in third place in the RMAC with a 3-1 confernece mark (4-2 overall).  They are coming off a 56-34 road win against Adams State. Their only RMAC loss was a one-point loss at Mesa State (19-18), who is tied with Chadron State at the top of the league with a 4-0 record.  UNK leads the conference in scoring offense (38.7 points per game) and total offense (437.2 yards per game).  The Lopers finished third in the RMAC last year with a 5-3 record (6-4) overall).
