CSUP's Rohrer and Cunningham Lead 2017-18 #RMACwbb Preseason All-RMAC Team

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) announced CSU-Pueblo’s Molly Rohrer and Katie Cunningham as the 2017-18 Women’s Basketball Preseason Players of the Year on Monday.
The Preseason All-RMAC team and major award winners were voted on by the head coaches. Coaches cannot vote for their own student-athletes.
Preseason Player of the Year, Rohrer finished last season as RMAC Player of the Year and guided the ThunderWolves to the RMAC Regular-Season title. The Greenwood Village, Colorado native set several school records including the eight blocks in a single-game, 77 rejections in a single-season, and 2.4 blocks per game. In addition to receiving RMAC Player of the Year, Rohrer was named D2CCA First Team All-South Central Region, All-RMAC First Team, and RMAC All-Academic First Team.
Cunningham was selected as Preseason Defensive Player of the Year. She led the RMAC in rebounds per game with 9.2 and tallied 295 total rebounds on the season. Cunningham averaged 1.7 steals per game, notched four double-doubles and netted 6.8 points per game. At the end of the season she was named RMAC Defensive Player of the year and landed on All-RMAC First Team and the RMAC and South Central All-Tournament team.
Teams will kick off the regular-season on Nov. 10 with conference action beginning Nov. 28.
