The men's tennis started their season with a tough battle: a very good NCAA Division I team, the University of Idaho. But they were ready for the challenge. The #1 doubles team consisting of Rafael Catay (Sao Paulo, Brazil) and Wilton Atkins (Wanganui, New Zealand) showed their improvement over the past season and got the upset victory over Idaho's Glukhov and Miranda.

"We didn't get to start our main line-up for our first match of the season, so other had the chance to work on their games against a strong Division I team,” says Burton. “I hope to have our two athletes who didn't start today healthy and ready for the rest of the season. Overall, I am very proud of the men. They battled very well tonight.”
