ERIC DANNER

Assistant Commissioner Eric Danner is in his fourth year with the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. He originally joined the staff on a full-time basis as Media Relations Director in July 2005. His duties include hosting, producing, writing, editing and shooting the "RMAC Showcase" a one-hour monthly television program that airs on the Altitude Sports & Entertainment Network.

In addition, Danner also produces and co-hosts "This Week in the RMAC" a weekly radio program available on the RMAC Sports Network between August and March. Danner also spearheads the RMAC's pre and post season awards; the academic all-conference teams; and acts as a liason between the RMAC and Altitude, Fox 21, CW 57, KSPK and any advertisers for the "RMAC Showcase".  Danner also assists with the RMAC Championships.

Prior to joining the RMAC, Danner was the Sports Director at KXRM Fox 21 News in Colorado Springs/Pueblo where he was named "Best Sportscaster" by the Colorado Springs Gazette.  Danner was also co-host of "Double Coverage Sports" on CBS affiliate KKTV on Sunday nights.  Danner earned "Best Sports Story" from the Associated Press for his "Everybody has a High School Sports Story" series. From 1996-2000, he was a news reporter and photographer for NBC affiliate KOAA in Colorado Springs/Pueblo. Danner won another "Best Sports Story" from the Associated Press for a series on former Major League pitcher Dave Dravecky. His first professional broadcasting job was at KGWN CBS 5 in Cheyenne, Wyo.

A 1994 graduate of Metropolitan State College of Denver, Danner and his wife, reside in Falcon, Colo. and are the proud parents of a 4-year-old daughter.
