Windsor Headed to Cactus Bowl

Silver City, N.M. - Senior Rod Windor (Bessemer, AL) has been selected to play in the Valero Cactus Bowl.  The wide receiver will represent the Mustangs in the January 11 contest in Kingsville, Texas.  The Cactus Bowl is played in an East/West format and the teams are comprised entirely of the ‘best of the best' NCAA Division II college seniors.

Windsor was first on the WNMU team in receptions (81), total yards (1119), receiving touchdowns (6), and average yardage per game (111.9/game). He also averaged 13.9 yards per reception.

For his efforts, he was named RMAC Football Offensive Player of the Week twice (9-24-07 and 11-12-07)and All-RMAC Football First Team - Offense (11-19-07).

Kickoff will be at 7:00 p.m. with the game televised by Fox Sports Southwest.

Western New Mexico University finished the season with a 4-6 record overall and were 4-4 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.
