ALAMOSA, Colo.- Adams State College head football coach Marty Heaton announced Tuesday that he has added Keith Wilson to the Grizzly coaching staff as the defensive line coach.

Wilson had been at the Colorado School of Mines as the defensive line and strength and conditioning program coordinator for the past four seasons.  He worked directly with Heaton for the past two as Heaton had served as the Orediggers' assistant head coach and defensive coordinator prior to accepting ASC's head post late last month.

With Wilson's tutelage, the Orediggers led the nation in sacks (4.67/game) during the 2007 season.

During his time as the strength and conditioning coach at CSM, Wilson has been instrumental in helping the squad set several team and personal records in the weight room.

A native of Muskogee, Okla., Wilson completed his bachelor's degree in 1999 from Northeastern State University while majoring in health and human performance.  He also earned a master's degree in higher education from the Tahlequah, Okla. based school in 2002.

Prior to his stint at CSM, Wilson had served as an assistant strength and conditioning coach at Division I Texas Christian University, where he worked with the Horned Frogs' football, volleyball and women's tennis teams for two years.  He was also an assistant football coach at his alma mater for four and served as the defensive line coach while doing his student-teaching at Muskogee High School during the fall of 2001.

His wife Angela recently graduated from Metro State College with a degree in speech communications.
