State place winner in high school. Wrestled at Iowa and Colorado State College (UNC).
Administration/Coaching Accomplishments:
CSM Head wrestling coach 1955-1992, head tennis coach 1955-1966 and 1979-1992, head trainer 1955-1978, assistance football coach 1955-1968. Led wrestling team to 2nd place finish at 1961 NAIA National Championships hosted by CSM. Led wrestling team to 2nd place finish at 1964 Championships, 1965 team placed 10th, and 1967 team placed 4th. Total of 33 earned all-American honors. Two wrestlers earned NCAA I all-American accolades. Colorado Collegiate Coach of the Year. Member of CSM, Northern Colorado, and NCAA II wrestling Hall of Fames.

National Wrestling Coaches Association /chairman of the 25-Year Service Committee.
