Athletic Accomplishments:
Football-Rocky Mountain Conference MVP and unanimous all-conference selection as a senior in 1952, when he rushed for 16 touchdowns to break Dutch Clark's school record and finish among the nation's scoring leaders.
Hockey-helped Colorado College win the first of its two NCAA championships as a freshman in 1950; collected 91 career points (62 goals, 29 assists) despite spending most of his senior season playing for the United States Olympic Team that claimed a silver medal at the 1952 Winter Games. Thinks he may have been second-team all-conference in baseball, but at any rate is Colorado College's last three-sport athlete.
Administration/Coaching Accomplishments:
Worked as a hockey referee (college) for 22 years.
Civic Activities:
Former owner, senior vice-president and director of marketing for Acordia of Colorado, a general insurance agency and insurance brokerage firm in Colorado Springs; continues to work as a consultant for Wells Fargo Insurance Services despite approaching 80 years of age; active alumnus of Colorado College and donor of CC Athletics.
