Athletic Accomplishments:
Eck was a two-year letter winner in the men's basketball
program. After spending two seasons at Butler County Community
College, Eck played his last two seasons with the Tigers ending in
a national championship during the 1995-96 season. During that 34-0
season, Eck averaged 17.7 points and a team high 31.1 minutes per
game. He connected on 109-out-of-235 three point shots for a 46.4
percent average. He scored 31 points in a game three times that
season and broke the record for most three pointer in a game at
nine versus McPherson College on February 14, 1996. Eck was named
Most Valuable Player in the North Central Championships. He was
named to the RMAC All-Tournament team and the all-RMAC first
team.
Academic Accomplishments:
Busch Gross Award-1996. Dean's Honor Roll-Fall 1995,
Spring 1996. Athletic Department Academic Excellence Award 1995 and
1996.
Civic Activities:
NCAA Champs/Lifeskills. Mentor, Washington Elementary
