Pam DeCosta
DeCosta is the first ever Women's Basketball All-American at Mesa State. Named First Team All-RMAC twice, DeCosta is still the Mavericks second all-time leading rebounder (1012), second in blocked shots (190), is fourth in scoring (1,354), fourth in assists (326), fourth in steals (156) and is 6th in shooting percentage. DeCosta once hauled down 27 rebounds in one game. She graduated from Metro State in 1991, and was an assistant coach at both Kansas and Oklahoma. DeCosta is a member of the Women's Basketball Coaches Association and the Black Coaches Association, and is now the Head Women's Basketball Coach at Lynn University, an NCAA Division II school in Boca Raton, Fla.
