RMAC Hall of Fame

J.W. Campbell 

Campbell is best known as the Sports Information Director at WSC, a position he held for 25 years. In addition to being the school's SID, Campbell was also an Assistant Professor, was Western's Director of Information, and assistant to the President. Campbell was honored by the College Sports Information Driectors of America (CoSIDA) with their lifetime achievement award in 1999. The J.W. Campbell Award is given to the top Sports Information Director in the RMAC each year. Campbell also served on the selection committee's for the Harlon Hill Award and the Colorado Sports Hall of Fame. Campbell passed away in March of 2000.
