RMAC Hall of FameJon Baskin Baskin is the all-time leading scorer at Mesa State College. He
also holds school records for field goal percentage (73.9), free
throws made (490), rebound average (10.1) and field goals made
(833). Baskin's scoring average (24.5) is second all-time at Mesa,
and he's the Mavericks 3rd all-time leading rebounder. Baskin was
named NAIA All-American in 1991 while leading Mesa State to the
RMAC co-championship. That season he averaged more than 27 points
and 10 rebounds per contest, while shooting 68 percent from the
field. A transfer from San Diego State Univeristy, Baskin graduated
from Mesa in 1991, and went on to get his Masters Degree in
Education at the University of Nebraska in 1995. Baskin is
currently the varsity boys basketball coach at Standley Lake High
School in Westminster, Colo.
