Hector Hernandez

Hector Hernandez, a special agent with the U.S. Secret Service, was a three-time RMAC wrestling champion, earning All-American honors twice and a national championship in 1987 for New Mexico Highlands University. During his national championship run, he pinned two of his opponents in :18 and :19, two of the quickest pins in the entire tournament. The heavyweight was twice named Academic All-American and competed on the U.S. National Team during their tour of Russia in 1987, finishing the tour with a 3-1 record. He earned his bachelor's degree in political science and sociology in 1987 and his master's degree in sociology in 1989. As a special agent, he has been assigned to protect the Pope and the President of the United States on several occasions.
