RMAC Hall of Fame1969 Adams State College WrestlingASC's 1969 team, again led by Powell, finished with 98 points,
repeating as NAIA national champs, while then-RMAC member
Nebraska-Omaha placed second with 84 points. The 1968 team earned
another eight all-american honors, including four national
runner-ups. The ‘68 individual results and national meet
records were as follows: Jody Thompson (4th at 130, 4-2 record);
Roger Vigil (2nd at 137, 4-1 record); Gordon Levy (2nd at 145, 4-1
record); Fred Lett (2nd at 160, 4-1 record); Charles Schroeder,
(2nd at 167, 4-1 record); Glen Engel (4th at 177, 4-2 record);
Harvey Gray (2nd at 191, 4-1 record); Tom Kusleika (5th at HWT, 3-2
record). Arthur Simoni (115, 2-1 record), Carlos Fontanez (123, 2-2
record), Dwight Fritz (152, 1-1 record) each participated at their
respective weight classes.
