Mitch McCarron filled up the stat sheet in No. 1 Metro State's two wins to open the season. He averaged 9.0 rebounds, 3.0 steals and 1.0 blocked shots to go with 7.5 points per game. McCarron had eight rebounds (seven defensive), four assists and one steal against Texas A&M-Kingsville on Friday. He added 11 points, 10 rebounds (eight defensive), five steals, four assists and two blocked shots against West Texas A&M on Saturday for his fifth career double-double.
